New Sweat-Blocking cloth could help amputees wear prosthetics more comfortably

NCT ID NCT04924036

Summary

This study tested whether a medicated cloth (Qbrexza) could reduce excessive sweating where a prosthetic limb attaches. Thirteen people with limb amputations used either the active cloth or a placebo for four weeks, then switched, to see if it improved sweat control and how well their prosthetic fit. The goal was to find a simple, at-home treatment to make wearing a prosthetic more comfortable and improve daily life.
