First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at how well 33 people with oral or throat cancer could swallow and speak after surgery that used a special collagen patch. Patients filled out questionnaires about their swallowing and voice the day before surgery, then again 1 month and 6 months later. The goal was to see if the collagen matrix helps recovery, but the study only measured outcomes without comparing to a control group.
