First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study checked whether the experimental drug survodutide (BI 456906) causes any heart rhythm changes in 110 adults with overweight or obesity. Participants received weekly injections of survodutide or a placebo for about 30 weeks, along with a single dose of moxifloxacin (a drug known to affect heart rhythm) to compare results. The goal was to ensure the drug is safe for the heart before further development.
