Brain scan surveillance trial aims to catch metastases early in HER2+ breast cancer
NCT ID NCT07503717
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether it's possible to routinely scan the brains of people with HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. These patients are at high risk for brain metastases, which can cause serious symptoms. The study will compare regular brain MRIs to the standard approach of only scanning when symptoms appear, to see if patients are willing to participate and if early detection is helpful.
