New attack on spreading breast cancer: can zapping tumors after drugs lead to longer remission?

Summary
This study is for people with a specific type of breast cancer (HER2-positive) that has spread to only a few other places in the body. Researchers want to know if adding surgery or targeted radiation to the standard drug treatment helps keep the cancer under control for longer compared to using drugs alone. The trial will enroll 162 adults whose cancer has not gotten worse after several months of initial drug therapy.
