NCT ID NCT07180199
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at two surgical methods to correct a type of eye misalignment called V-pattern intermittent exotropia, where the eyes drift outward, especially when looking up. Twenty patients received either a standard muscle recession or a recession with an upward shift of the muscle attachment. The goal was to achieve eye alignment within 10 prism diopters. The study also tracked complications like overcorrection or limited eye movement.
