First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether liposuction can reduce pain and improve daily life for women with lipedema, a chronic condition that causes painful fat buildup in the arms and legs. About 220 women aged 20 to 65 with significant pain will receive surgery and be followed for five years. The goal is to provide clear evidence on whether this surgical treatment works.
