Surgeons test new procedure to fight diabetic nerve pain and save feet

NCT ID NCT07126197

Summary

This study is testing if a microsurgery called lymphovenous bypass can help people with diabetic nerve damage. The surgery, which connects tiny lymph vessels to veins, is already used for swelling. Researchers want to see if it can also slow nerve damage, reduce foot pain, and help heal foot ulcers in 60 diabetic patients. They will measure changes in pain, nerve function, and skin health over time.
