New nerve surgeries battle phantom limb pain in cancer patients

Summary

This study is testing three different nerve surgery techniques to see which works best for reducing chronic pain and phantom limb pain in adults who have had an amputation due to cancer. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the surgical procedures. Researchers will track pain levels, medication use, and quality of life for a year after surgery to compare the results.
