Hidden kidney damage risk in common nose surgeries?
NCT ID NCT07328620
Summary
This study looked at whether intentionally lowering a patient's blood pressure during common nose and sinus surgeries might cause hidden, early damage to the kidneys. Researchers measured special markers in the blood of 35 healthy adults before and after their surgery to detect any subtle kidney injury that standard tests might miss. The goal was to understand the safety of this common anesthesia technique by seeing if it affects kidney function even when no obvious problems appear.
