New program aims to ease the burden for bone marrow transplant caregivers

Summary
This study is testing a psychological support program called BMT-CARE to see if it improves the quality of life for caregivers of patients undergoing a bone marrow transplant for blood cancer. About 800 caregivers and their patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the new support program plus usual care, or just usual care. The main goal is to see if the program helps caregivers feel less stressed and burdened during the difficult transplant process.
