First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a program that combines a patient navigator, a smartphone app, and small rewards to help people who use both opioids and methamphetamine stay connected to addiction treatment after leaving the hospital. Forty adults who started buprenorphine while hospitalized will be randomly assigned to receive the program plus usual care or usual care alone. The goal is to see if the program improves the number of people who attend follow-up appointments and continue their medication.
