Phone app & coach aim to keep addiction patients in treatment

NCT ID NCT06027814

Summary

This study is testing a support program for people leaving the hospital who are being treated for opioid addiction and also use methamphetamine. The program combines a patient navigator (a coach), a smartphone app for medication check-ins, and small rewards to help people connect with and stay in outpatient treatment. Researchers will compare this program to standard care to see if it helps more people get to their first follow-up appointment and stay on their medication longer.
