Community health workers aim to ease burden for rural veteran caregivers

Summary

This study tests whether trained community health workers can reduce stress and improve satisfaction for people caring for seriously ill older veterans in rural areas. About 480 care partners will be randomly assigned to receive extra support or usual care. The goal is to lighten the caregiver's load and help them connect with helpful resources.
