First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study is testing a new, advanced ultrasound technique that can see the smallest blood vessels in the legs. Researchers want to know if images of these tiny vessels can help predict future problems like limb pain or amputation in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). The study will involve 300 adults with PAD and aims to improve how doctors assess risk and plan treatment.
