Researchers develop Life-Saving tools for prisoners at high suicide risk

NCT ID NCT07259408

Summary

This study aims to improve suicide prevention for people in prison, where suicide rates are five times higher than average. Researchers are working with 40 participants—both prison staff and people in detention—to adapt existing suicide prevention tools to better fit prison environments. Through interviews, they're gathering feedback to make these tools more practical and effective for identifying and managing suicide risk in detention settings.
