Rural school clinics trial new suicide screening for teens

Summary

This study is testing a program to help school-based health clinics in rural West Virginia routinely screen teenagers for suicide risk. Researchers will work with about 30 teens and their parents to see if the screening and follow-up steps are practical and helpful. The goal is to catch warning signs early and connect at-risk youth to safety planning and support.
