Summary
This study tested a program called SOCIAL-ENGAGE, designed to help Spanish-speaking Hispanic adults who feel isolated and are at risk for suicide. The program aimed to increase their participation in cultural and social activities to build a stronger sense of community and belonging. Researchers worked with participants to design the program and then tested it with a small group to see if it increased social engagement and reduced thoughts of suicide.
