First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026

Summary

This study tested a personalized follow-up plan called ALGOS for people who had just attempted suicide. The goal was to see if this plan could reduce the number of repeat suicide attempts compared to standard care. Over 1,000 adults who survived a suicide attempt took part, and researchers tracked them for 6 months to see how well the plan worked.
