First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at how the COVID-19 pandemic and related social restrictions may have influenced suicidal thoughts and actions in children and adolescents aged 8 to 17 in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Researchers will gather data from up to 6,500 young people who had suicidal behavior during the pandemic and compare it with data from the two years before. The goal is to understand the clinical and socioeconomic factors behind these behaviors, not to test a treatment.
