Scientists hunt clues in blood to unlock secrets of rare diabetes
NCT ID NCT06478121
Summary
This study aims to understand how rare genetic changes cause problems with the body's insulin-producing cells, leading to conditions like diabetes or very low blood sugar. Researchers will compare detailed blood samples and optional body scans from 50 people who have these genetic variants with others who do not. The goal is to find biological markers and learn how these genetic mistakes affect the body, which could one day lead to better treatments.
