First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a blood test called MAIPA can help doctors tell if a low platelet count is caused by an autoimmune problem. Researchers will study 225 adults with low platelets who have not started treatment yet. The goal is to see if finding certain antibodies in the blood can confirm an autoimmune diagnosis, which could lead to faster and more accurate care.
