New study explores cholesterol clues to stent failure
NCT ID NCT07533656
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study is looking at whether a special cholesterol test (VAP) can help predict if arteries will narrow again after a stent procedure. Researchers will study 3,600 adults who have had stents placed, using blood samples already collected during routine care. The goal is to better understand risk factors for in-stent restenosis, not to test a new treatment.
