New study probes Insulin-Making ability in type 2 diabetes

Summary
This study looks at how well people with type 2 diabetes can produce insulin after drinking a meal replacement shake. Researchers will take blood samples over two hours to measure insulin and blood sugar levels. The goal is to understand differences in insulin production and how recent weight gain might affect it. 90 adults with type 2 diabetes who are not on insulin therapy will participate.
