Pancreatitis patients tracked for 3 years to unlock diabetes mystery

Summary

This study aims to understand why and how often diabetes develops after a person has acute pancreatitis. Researchers will follow 800 people for three years, performing regular blood sugar tests and health surveys. The goal is to learn the underlying causes and identify who is most at risk for developing diabetes after their pancreas has been inflamed.
