Hopkins study: how recovery expectations shape mental health for patients and caregivers

Summary
This study aims to understand how adults recovering from serious lung failure (acute respiratory failure) and their family caregivers think about the first 6 months of recovery. Researchers want to see if expectations about the recovery process are linked to anxiety, depression, and stress in both patients and their support people. Participants will complete three surveys over six months about their expectations, feelings, and mood.
