Does a longer wait for help after amputation lead to more PTSD?

NCT ID NCT07502313

Summary

This study aims to understand if the time it takes to evacuate a soldier after a combat amputation, and how long a tourniquet is used, affects their risk of developing PTSD. Researchers will follow 300 Ukrainian veterans with amputations for 18 months, tracking their psychological health. The goal is to identify factors that predict PTSD to improve future care for wounded veterans.
