Scientists hunt genetic clues linking birth defects to childhood cancer

NCT ID NCT05071859

Summary

This study aims to understand why children born with birth defects have a higher risk of developing cancer. Researchers will analyze the DNA of children who have both a birth defect and cancer, along with their parents, to look for shared genetic factors. The goal is to uncover the biological reasons behind this connection, which could eventually help improve cancer screening and care for children with birth defects.
