Counseling may keep women on Long-Acting contraception

NCT ID NCT07271836

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether structured, culturally sensitive counseling can encourage women to continue using their IUD or implant instead of removing it early. 900 women in Pakistan who ask for early removal will be randomly assigned to receive counseling or standard care. The main goal is to see if more women in the counseling group still use their contraception after 6 months.
