NCT ID NCT01952522

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether wearing a weighted brace on the unaffected ankle helps people who have had a stroke walk better after returning home. 42 participants who had a stroke more than 3 months ago were assigned to either a weighted brace or a placebo brace. The main goal was to see if the weighted brace increased the distance they could walk in 6 minutes.
