New pill aims to protect the brain after stroke

Summary

This study is testing whether a new tablet placed under the tongue can help people recover better after a specific type of stroke. It will involve 600 adults in China who recently had a small stroke linked to underlying blood vessel disease in the brain. Participants will take either the active tablet or a placebo for 24 weeks to see if it improves daily function, thinking skills, and prevents another stroke.
