New brain clot removal procedure tested in major stroke trial
NCT ID NCT07323368
Summary
This study is testing whether a procedure to physically remove a blood clot from a medium-sized brain artery works better than standard medication alone for certain stroke patients. It will involve about 568 adults who have had a stroke within the last 24 hours. Doctors will use special brain scans to select patients and then randomly assign them to receive either the clot-removal procedure plus medication or just medication.
