Breakthrough stroke trial tests urgent Artery-Clearing procedure
NCT ID NCT05832762
Summary
This study is testing if a procedure to physically reopen a blocked neck artery, combined with standard medication, leads to better recovery after a stroke than medication alone. It will involve 200 adults who have had a recent stroke caused by this specific type of blockage. The main goal is to see if the procedure helps more people regain functional independence 90 days after their stroke.
