First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether a procedure to open a blocked carotid artery in the neck, plus standard medical care, helps people recover better from a stroke than standard care alone. About 200 adults with mild to severe stroke symptoms will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The goal is to see if the procedure reduces disability 90 days later.
