Advanced MRI guides Late-Stage stroke treatment in major trial

NCT ID NCT07379190

Summary

This study is testing whether a blood-thinning drug called tirofiban can help people who have had a stroke caused by a clogged brain artery, but who arrived at the hospital 1 to 7 days after their symptoms started—missing the standard treatment window. Researchers will use a special, detailed type of MRI scan to carefully select the right patients for this treatment. The main goal is to see if the drug helps more people recover with little to no disability.
