Tiny study aims to unlock Botox's secrets in stroke recovery
NCT ID NCT06767631
First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This small pilot study looks at how Botox injections change the muscles, tendons, and nerves in the feet of people who had a stroke and developed a stiff, twisted foot. Researchers will use special ultrasound and movement tests to measure these changes in 12 first-time stroke patients. The goal is not to treat the condition but to gather data needed to design larger, more informative studies in the future.
