Community & nurse team up to fight stroke in black men
NCT ID NCT04402125
Summary
This study tested a 6-month support program designed to help African American men who have already had a stroke or mini-stroke (TIA). The program paired participants with a nurse and a peer educator who had also experienced a stroke. Researchers compared this team approach to a waitlist group to see if it better helped men lower key health risks like high blood pressure.
