Ear zaps tested to rewire brains after stroke

NCT ID NCT06761404

Summary

This study is testing if a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of a nerve in the ear, given during hand therapy, can help improve arm and hand movement for people who have had a stroke. Researchers will enroll 60 adults who are at least 6 months past their stroke and have lasting arm weakness. They will compare the ear stimulation plus therapy to a fake stimulation plus therapy to see if it leads to better recovery and changes in brain connections.
