Nerve zap plus robot arm may boost stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT07257107

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether combining a gentle nerve stimulation (taVNS) with robot-assisted arm training helps stroke survivors regain arm function better than robot training alone. Thirty adults who had a stroke at least 6 months ago and have moderate to severe arm weakness will participate. The goal is to see if this combo improves movement, strength, and daily life skills over 5 weeks.
