New device aims to reboot arm movement after stroke

NCT ID NCT02098265

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study is testing whether two non-invasive stimulation techniques—one for the brain and one for the arm muscles—can improve arm function in people who have had a stroke. Researchers will compare results from stroke survivors with arm weakness, those without arm issues, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if these treatments can boost recovery and help people regain movement.
