Brain scan study hunts for hidden stroke triggers

Summary
This study aims to better understand which fatty deposits (plaques) in brain arteries are most likely to break off and cause a stroke. Researchers will compare detailed brain scans from 140 people who have had a stroke with scans from people who have similar plaques but no symptoms. The goal is to find features that signal a plaque is high-risk, which could help doctors predict and prevent future strokes.
