Summary

This study aims to identify features of unstable brain plaques that are likely to cause strokes in people with intracranial atherosclerotic disease. Researchers will compare plaque shapes and blood flow in 140 patients who have had a stroke versus those who have not. The goal is to improve early detection and prevention of future strokes.
