New brain training aims to help stroke patients see what They're missing
NCT ID NCT06400147
Summary
This study is testing a new thinking strategy training for stroke survivors who have a common attention problem called spatial neglect, where they have trouble noticing one side of their body or environment. The training teaches people to set personal goals, check their own performance on daily tasks, and develop strategies to overcome challenges. Researchers want to see if this training helps improve self-awareness, reduces disability, and lessens the effects of neglect.
