NCT ID NCT03481205

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a special blood pressure cuff (Doctormate) can be used during helicopter transport to protect brain tissue in people having a severe stroke. Ten patients with large vessel occlusion will receive remote limb ischemic conditioning (RLIC) while being flown to a hospital for clot removal. The main goal is to see if the procedure is feasible and safe, not yet to measure its effectiveness.
