Could a blood pressure cuff help stroke survivors walk better?

NCT ID NCT05906602

Summary

This small, completed study tested a technique called ischemic conditioning to see if it could help improve walking problems after a stroke. For 20 participants, researchers briefly restricted blood flow to the leg with a pressure cuff to see if it changed brain activity and leg strength or control. The goal was to learn if this simple, non-invasive method could be a useful add-on therapy for stroke recovery.
