New stroke drug aims to lock in recovery after clot removal

NCT ID NCT07335107

Summary

This study is testing if adding a blood-thinning drug called tirofiban after emergency stroke treatment helps patients recover better. It will involve 564 adults in China who have just had a major stroke caused by a blocked artery and have already received clot-busting medicine and a procedure to remove the clot. The main goal is to see if more people can return to independent living 90 days after their stroke.
