MS drug trial offers new hope for stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT07275515

Summary

This study is testing if a drug already used for multiple sclerosis (diroximel fumarate) can safely reduce dangerous brain swelling that occurs after a bleeding stroke. Researchers believe calming brain inflammation with this drug may help patients recover better. The trial will involve 192 adults in France who have recently had a stroke, comparing the drug to a placebo.
