New stroke therapy: let your body move on autopilot

NCT ID NCT01565044

Summary

This study tested whether automatic movement exercises work better than traditional intentional exercises for improving arm function after a stroke. Researchers compared these two approaches in 26 stroke survivors with arm weakness. The goal was to see if automatic movements, which require less mental effort, could help people recover more natural arm movements with less fatigue.
