Hidden cause of senior strokes under investigation

NCT ID NCT07163338

Summary

This study aims to find out how common a blood clotting disorder called Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) is in people aged 65 and older who have had a stroke or mini-stroke (TIA). Researchers will test 400 patients for specific antibodies linked to APS to see if it's a missed cause. The goal is to improve detection so that future patients can get the right long-term treatment to prevent another stroke.
