Summary
This study compares two anesthesia approaches during emergency stroke surgery to remove blood clots. Researchers want to see if slightly increasing carbon dioxide levels during anesthesia helps maintain better blood flow to the brain during the procedure. The trial involves 90 stroke patients at UCLA medical centers who are undergoing clot removal surgery, with the goal of finding which method leads to better recovery outcomes.
