Flicker glasses give teen volleyball players a secret edge in body control
NCT ID NCT07542457
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether wearing stroboscopic glasses (glasses that flicker on and off) during training could improve balance and body awareness in 30 teenage male volleyball players. For six weeks, one group wore the glasses for short periods during practice, while the other group trained normally. The results showed that both groups improved their balance, but the group using the glasses had better gains in body awareness (knowing where their limbs are without looking). This suggests that stroboscopic training might be a useful tool for fine-tuning athletic skills.
